Morgan Sage is a divorced woman, mother of two, a stockbroker, and remarried. She is savvy, bright, successful, sensitive and loves her kids more than anything on Earth. She thought bringing a man, a father into the fold of her family was just what they each needed to be whole again. She had no idea that the man she delivered to her children would be a monster. Against all odds, she got away, supported by the most amazing people woven into her life. Her mother, her best mate, her outstanding work colleague, and her new attorney see only the best in this woman as they witness Morgan’s fierce struggle to escape her predator. The monster is not about to let Morgan go. Those people closest to Morgan are shocked and horrified by the relentless terror the monster concocts. It is the day-to-day battles that prove to be harrowing. Everyone needs a safe place to nest – getting there is the unknown.

"Morgan’s roller-coaster ride navigating her domestic abuse is frightening, yet she still manages to provide a happy and hospitable environment for her family. Morgan is brave and kind. She is determined to survive. Although there is no easy fix, this is an amazing and heartfelt story of one woman’s journey of survival"

More about ‘Madness in Memphis’
This contemporary work surrounding Morgan and children, Ollie and Opal, her mother Kat, dearest friend, Lee, outstanding colleague, Antonio, and new attorney, Ash, delivers a lasting impression while transporting the reader into a personal horror story and Morgan's brutal struggle to survive. Morgan's experience of twists and turns combined with a deep emotional effect is laced with an excitement and the intention of dragging the reader to the edge of their seat beyond the final hopeful moments. Questioning her core values and beliefs sits at the centre of this story - how did she end up in this predicament? Self-examination is key throughout her escape and 'Madness in Memphis' becomes a compelling story surrounding a woman fleeing domestic violence while offering a unique take on the existing genre to create a moral, uplifting perspective woven between the emotional and strikingly brutal tale.
